Welcome, Dr. Matt Caffey!
ASCISD would like to announce that Dr. Matt Caffey will join our Owl family this summer as the new Jr/Sr High School Principal. Mr. Dwayne Ross, who has led the secondary campus for the past three years, will be retiring at the end of May. Dr. Caffey is the current Principal of Olney ISD and has served in that capacity for the previous six years. Prior to his role as Principal, Dr. Caffey served as the Secondary Curriculum Specialist for Athens ISD and as an Assistant Principal at College Station ISD. Dr. Caffey is also a former High School English Language Arts teacher. Dr. Caffey began his leadership journey by attending Texas A&M University and earning a BA in English and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. He then attended Stephen F Austin University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Dr. Caffey then completed his Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership at Texas Tech University. Dr. Caffey and his wife Lani, also an educator, will also be joining our Owl family along with their two children. We are excited about the leadership skills and experience that Dr. Caffey will bring to Anderson-Shiro Jr/Sr High School. Please help us in welcoming the Caffeys to our awesome district!
