At the end of last year, Mrs. Whittle received a grant from the Education Foundation for the start up costs of a student-run "School Store" in order to provide technology and business education students with real-world application of business concepts. The school store is operated by high school students enrolled in business and technology courses and serves the entire school community. School supplies, apparel and other spirit items are available at the school store. Spirit items are designed and created by students as they learn how to use design software, cutting machine and heat press. Through the school store, students gain experience with business principles and real-world skills, such as customer service, money-handling, quality control, merchandising, problem-solving, and reliability.
