Curriculum
Anderson-Shiro Jr/Sr High school uses the TEKS Resource System as our curriculum guide; which is designed as a resource for teachers, schools, and districts across the state. All of the system's content is aligned to the most current versions of the Texas State Board of Education-adopted TEKS for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. In the past it has only been accessible by the classroom teachers and school personnel. Well, that has recently changed and you now also have access to the TEKS Resource System. If you are interested in exploring the curriculum that you child is being taught in our schools you can follow the link http://www.teksresourcesystem.net . Once there, log in as a guest by pressing the red icon for Parent/Guest login. It will take you to a page with four different tabs; Standards, Parent Resource, District Resource, and District Tools. As a Guest you will have access to the Standards and Parent Resource tabs. Please feel free to explore these resources and ask any questions that you may have about how we use this system to guide the learning happening in your child's classrooms.
